2025 - 2026 OUTCOMES AND RECOMMENDED MEASURES
View Outcomes for Each Focus Area
</aside>
The Outcomes Menu is designed to help you identify and select outcomes that best align with your program’s goals, services, and participants. Whether you already know which outcomes you plan to measure or are still exploring the changes your program is expected to produce, the menu is structured to support thoughtful and informed selection.
The menu is organized into the following key components:
Each outcome is grouped under a focus area, which represents a broader result or condition for children and families in the community. On the Outcomes Menu page, you can choose to view outcomes by a specific focus area or select the option to view all outcomes at once. This allows you to navigate the menu in the way that best fits your program planning. While focus areas help organize the menu, your outcome selection should be based on your program’s goals, services, and the changes you expect to see in participants.
After you select how you want to view the Outcomes Menu - either by a specific focus area or by viewing all outcomes - a new page will open showing a table of outcomes.
If you selected a specific focus area, the table will display only the outcomes related to that area. If you choose to view all outcomes, the table will include the complete list across all focus areas.
The table contains three main columns. The first column shows the outcome, which describes the expected change resulting from your program's services. The second column identifies the target population, which refers to the group the outcome is designed to measure. The third column lists the outcome type, which describes the kind of change, such as knowledge, attitudes, behaviors, or circumstances.
To view more information about a specific outcome, move your mouse over the cell in the first column. A small button labeled “Open” will appear. Clicking this button will open a panel on the right side of the screen with more details related to that outcome. Please note that some outcomes may not have additional information available at this time.
You can also click directly on the target population or outcome type listed in the table. This will open a new panel on the right side of the screen that includes a list of all outcomes in the menu related to that category, a short description of the category itself, and additional information when available. Not all categories have expanded content at this time, but we are continuing to add more.
To help you organize the information in a way that works best for your program, the Outcomes Menu includes a sorting feature.
In the top right corner of the table, you will see an icon with an upward arrow and a downward arrow. Clicking this icon will allow you to sort the table based on different categories. You can choose to sort by outcome name, focus area, outcome type, or target population.
If you are viewing outcomes from a single focus area, selecting "focus area" will not change the order of the table, since all outcomes belong to the same category.
Sorting can help you quickly group similar types of outcomes or find what you are looking for more easily

To help you narrow down the list of outcomes, the Outcomes Menu includes a filtering feature.
In the top right corner of the table, you will see a button with three horizontal lines. This is the filtering button. When you click it, a new row will appear above the table with additional filter options.
On the top left side of the table, you will see a set of buttons labeled by category. Each button includes an upward diagonal arrow and corresponds to one aspect of the table, such as target population, outcome type, or focus area (focus area is only available when viewing all outcomes).
To filter the table, click on the button for the category you want to filter by. For example, if you want to filter by target population, click the Target Population button and select the group or groups you want to see. You can select more than one option at a time.
You can apply filters across multiple categories to find the outcomes that best match your program. For example, you may choose to filter by both outcome type and target population to focus your search.
To remove a filter, simply click the selected item again or clear all selections from the filter menu.

If you are looking for something specific, you can use the search feature to find outcomes by keyword.
At the top right of the outcomes table, you will see a magnifying glass icon. Click this icon to open the search bar. From there, you can type in key terms related to the outcome you are looking for.
The table will automatically update to show only the outcomes that match your keywords. This is a helpful tool if you already know part of the outcome name, a key concept, or a specific population you are working with.
